When a customer visits your website, the tracking code will pick up that they have been there. iOS (Apple) made an update last year with their security settings - it was big news at the time because it impacted things like the Facebook pixel and our tracking code. At the time, anyone using an apple device could be tracked on the website and our site but we could not connect up that their device was the contact Kelly Jacobs - shared cookie information was no longer allowed. So, our development team worked on this and made it so if the person has clicked on a link from inside Lifesycle to go to your website, it would connect up to the contact.
β
Here is an example of it not working:
β
Kelly Jacobs is a contact in your system.
Kelly Jacobs visits your website off her own back or from Rightmove.
She never clicks a link in an email you send her etc
It will not share that she has went to your website

Here is an example of it working:
Kelly Jacobs is a contact in your system
Kelly Jacobs clicks on a link in an email you sent her to visit your site
Kelly Jacobs later visits the site
It will share all visits from the point they clicked the link in the email.

Again, this is Apple products only. All others, so far, are working just fine without that click. We highly recommend you add suggestions like 'Visit our website to see....' in your emails for things like market appraisal appointments and such.
