Audiences allow you to group contacts together based on criteria and quickly complete an action with that group. For example, you are able to send an SMS or send a bulk email.
Static Audiences are built of clients you specifically choose. Dynamic Audiences, which can be built through the Advanced Search, are ever-growing lists of clients that fit the criteria you have specified.
You can build Dynamic audiences from Advanced Search in the Contact Search page by clicking on Advanced Search or from the Marketing Tab. Click here to read about How to Create a Dynamic Audience
Here, we will go through building a Static Audience from your contact search.
First, click on contacts from your left side menu. This is highlighted in magenta below:
At this point, perform a search through the search bar (for everyone who lives in Yorkshire for example) or perform a Quick Search.
Using the search bar or the Quick Search button create a list of contacts that meet the criteria you searched for in the contact list.
From the results list, you are then able to pick and choose who you would like in the audience by ticking or checking the tick box next to the specific contact name. If you want to choose every contact in the results, there is an 'All' option to tick.
Once you have the contacts you would like in the list, choose Save Audience and choose if you would like to Create a new Static Audience or Add to an Existing Static Audience.
Now Name and Save Your Audience
You are now in the audience you just created which means that any contact you did not tic or choose will have disappeared. From here you can:
Perform an additional search within an audience
Add more Contacts to an Audience
Send an SMS to an Audience
Send a Bulk Email to an Audience
Send an individual email to any contact within an Audience
