When creating or editing an email template, we have the ability to create a menu inside the email template, this menu may contain things like links to other website, actions such as sending an email or SMS, or downloading a file.
To do this, drag the menu icon in to the main body of the email template.
Click on the menu icon in the email template to open up the menu properties on the right.
The next thing to do is to add items in to your menu. These will be your calls to action.
To begin, click the 'Add New Item' button in the menu properties menu.
Next, write out what you would like your first item on the menu to say.
Then select the action that will be performed when the recepient clicks on that particular menu item.
The first is 'Open web page' a very simple tool which means when the menu item is clicked, it takes them through to another website. Simply select open webpage and enter in the URL of the website you want them to go too once they click on the menu item in the email.
If you select open web page, you will also be able to select whether a new web page will open when they click the link, or if it will replace the current webpage they are on.
We also have the ability to 'Link file' which means when the button is clicked, a particular file you select can be downloaded to the recepients device.
To do this, click Link file.
This will then open up the file manager, where you can select the file you wish for the recepient to download, or you can add the file in to the file manager first, and then select it.
The next action we have is send email. This means that clicking the menu item will prompt the recepient to send an email which is pre populated with text you provide, to an email address that you provide. To do this, select 'Send Email' from the drop down and enter in the email address you wish the email to be sent too, followed by what you want the email to say.
The next action from the list is make call, this means when the menu item is clicked, the recepient will be prompted to call a number of your choice.
To do this, select 'Make Call' from the dropdown list and enter in the phone number you want the recepient to call when the menu item is clicked.
The final action we can have on our images is send SMS. This means when the recepient clicks on the menu item, they will be prompted to send a text message which is pre-populated with the text you provide, to a number you provide.
To do this, select 'send sms' from the drop down list and then enter in the telephone number that will recieve the text message and then the body of the message.
Once all of your items have been added, if you continue to scroll down, Menu settings such as font, list alignment, and colours are available underneath the menu items on the right of the screen.
