When building an email template, next to the content tab you have a Rows tab.

In this tab you have a large selection of Rows which act like content holders, were you simply select your content holder, and then drag the content in to the sections of the row. This can be useful when you are planning out the design of your email template.

To select your row, simply drag it in to the email template.

Then all you need to do is drag your content in to the row.

If you click on the row, you will open up the row properties on the right where you can edit things such as the background and the borders of the row.

Special Rows

Special rows are rows that already contain content, or rows that have the ability to pull in information from other parts of the system easily.

To see the list of special rows available, when in the rows tab, simply click the drop down section.

Empty rows are the grey ones that we have already talked about. Lets move on to the other rows.

Headers

Header rows are normally used for logos that you want at the top of your email template.

Select Header from the drop down list and a selection of headers that you have available will show.

Your Synced Row is the row that will appear on all email templates.

If you want to add a new header row, please contact support.

To select a header row, simply click it and drag it in to your email template.

Once again if you click on the row, you will have options to edit things like the background and the border in the row properties tab on the right.

Any edits made to a header row in an email template will only effect that one particular header row in that one particular email. It will not update the default header row, nor will it update any emails that are already created with that row.

If you edit a synced row, the same rules apply. It will unsync the row for that particular email template and will not update the default header row, nor will it update the header row in any other email templates.

Footers

Next in the list we have Footer Rows. The exact same rules apply with Footer Rows as they do with the Header Rows.

Blogs

Next up we have the Blog Rows. When we select a blog row, the cover photo, heading, and introduction text from a blog you have in Lifesycle is automatically pulled in to the email template, along with a link to that blog on your blog page.

In order for this to work the blog must be published to your Lifesycle blog page with the show on blog button ticked and green.

To select a blog row, simply select it from the drop down list, and then search for the blog you want to have in your email using the search bar.

Then click and drag the blog in to the email template.

As you can see the blogs cover photo, heading, and introduction text is pulled in to the email template along with a link to read the article which takes them directly to the blog on your Lifesycle blog page.

Again, clicking the row brings up the row properties on the right where you can edit things like the background, borders etc.

Other

These are specially created rows that we put in to the email template for you. If you have an idea of a specific row that you would like, please contact us.

Properties

Finally we have the property rows. In these rows we can bring in properties that we have published on our lifesycle search and put them directly in to the email template, along with a link directly to the property on the Lifesycle search.

This will only work if the property is published to the Lifesycle search.

To access these property rows, simply select it from the drop down and then search for the property you want to have in your email template.

As you can see below, the property pulls in to the email template along with a click here link to view the property on the Lifesycle search.

Once again, if you click on the row, you open up the row properties tab on the right to make edits to background colour, and borders etc.
