In branch settings, we have the option to enter in postcodes and draw zones. These are called our areas.

Let's start by taking a look at where we go to create these areas.

First lets go to settings >> branch settings

Now lets select the branch we would like to create the areas for.

Now scroll down, and you will see the My Areas section, with subheadings labelled My Postcodes and My Zones.

Now let's take a look at adding a postcode first. To do this, click Add Postcode.

Now give your postcode a name, and then search for, and select the postcode.

Now it's important to remember that these postcodes do not have to be full postcodes. You can also have a postcode which is just part of a postcode too cover a larger area. Take a look at some examples below.

WN5 8 covers all postcodes that begin with WN5 8.

WN5 covers all postcodes beginning with WN5.

WN covers all postcodes beginning with WN.

You can also add in multiple postcodes to your area so this specific 'Wigan' postcode we have created will cover multiple postcodes of our choice.

Now lets take a look at adding Zones. To add a zone, click Draw a Zone.

mceclip10.png

Then name your zone, and find the area on the map. Click and drag to move around the map and use the + and - to zoom in and out of the map.

Now once you have located you're area, it's time to draw. Double click where you would like to begin drawing, and you will see a red dot appear. You can click and drag this red dot too change its position if you're not happy with it.

Now to start drawing your zone simply click around the area you want to cover. Each click will start too draw lines and you will see the area being covered. See below.

Once you are happy with your zone, click Save.

Now we can see our postcode and our zone in the branch detail setting.

Now let's take a look at what our areas are useful for. Lets go to create a dynamic audience. In the contact related section, we can select the Branch Area. Here we can select our postcodes and zones and this will pull in all contacts whose correspondence address lies within these postcodes or zones.

We can also use our areas in the property related section. For example, we could pull in all Instructed us Sales Market appraisals which are inside our areas.
